Caspian: Technologies for Environment,
6th Azerbaijan International Environmental Exhibition
The 6th Azerbaijan International Exhibition for Environmental Protection “Caspian: Technologies for Environment”, CTE 2015 began its work at the Baku Expo Centre Exhibition Complex on the 18th November.
The VIP tour, which included Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Huseyngulu Baghirov, the Minister of Environment and Water of Bulgaria Ivelina Vasileva foreign diplomats and republican departmental heads, covered the main thematic directions of the exhibition and brought the guests’ attention to the development of several well-established regional projects currently being implemented by the industry. At the end of the VIP tour, Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and Minister of the Environment and Water gave an interview to the Republic of Bulgaria to numerous representatives of the media , which noted importance of the exhibition for environmental industry.
35 companies from 10 countries including Azerbaijan, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Turkey, and Switzerland are participating in this year's exhibition. The Czech Republic’s national stand is participating in this exhibition for the second year in a row and is exhibiting seven large Czech companies. Most of the participants are local government agencies, such as the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for the first time this year.
In general, CTE 2015 is a demonstration of the latest developments in the field of the efficient use of natural resources, systems for the collection and disposal of solid waste, modern samples of alternative energy equipment, as well as attracting people's attention to environmental issues and their solutions. The debutants will present equipment for waste and recycling, water purification systems, and more.
On the second day of the exhibition will begin an active business program , which includes the presentations of Czech companies , I International Youth Conference "Youth energy" , as well as a working meeting with the participation of experts of the company "Deloitte Azerbaijan".
This exhibition is the only significant event for ecology and environmental protection in the Caspian and Caucasus regions that is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Public Association IDEA (International dialogue in the name of environmental protection).
